These tickets will not allow access to the sporting venues within the Olympic Park, but will allow ticket holders to experience the atmosphere of the Park and watch Paralympic sport on the big screen.

The tickets going on sale are for various days throughout the Paralympic Games and will cost £5 ($8/€6) for adults and £1 ($1.50/€1.20) for young people under the age of 16 and those over the age of 60.

Tickets can only be bought at www.tickets.london2012.com.

Wheelchair users can purchase tickets by calling 0844 847 2012.

In a bid avoid potentially long queues at ticket box offices, London 2012 is encouraging successful purchasers to select "print at home" option.

"I'm thrilled that we can give even more people the opportunity to experience the Olympic Park, soak up the atmosphere and perhaps catch some Paralympic action on the big screen," said Sebastian Coe, the chairman of London 2012.

"We wanted to give as many people as possible the opportunity to visit the Olympic Park and releasing more tickets is part of this commitment."

The tickets are in addition to the 2.3 million tickets already sold for the events at the Paralympics, a record.
