BLUE Paralympic 3color AGITOS March 29 - US Paralympics have announced their regional competition dates for this year, which give disabled members of the United States Armed Forces and disabled veterans the chance to take part in competitive sport, along with the news that the Valor Games will be extended to four competitions across the country.

The seven regional competitions, which are partially funded via the support of the US Department of Veterans Affairs, will take place across the nation between April and June, and will offer a chance for military and non-military athletes with physical disabilities or visual impairments to take part in competitive sports.

Texas, Missouri, Illinois, Georgia, Arizona, Michigan and Oklahoma will all host events, beginning with San Antonio in Texas, which will stage the Texas Regional Games from April 12 until April14.

The Valor Games are an introductory sporting event for veterans and servicemen with disabilities and are again, run in partnership with the Department of Veterans Affairs.

The Games were previously held solely in Chicago, but they will expand this year with three further events in North Carolina, Texas and California scheduled to take place between May and September 2013.

Registration for regional competitions and the Valor Games can be done via local organising committees.
