Swimmer Apostolos Christou and rower Athina Maria Aggelopoulou were both handed prizes following the silver medal performances at the Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games.

Fencer Marios Giakoumatos was also recognised after securing bronze in Nanjing.

Further prizes were handed to judoka Elias Iliadis, pole vaulter Kostas Filippidis and men's lightweight quadruple sculls team Lefteris Konsolas, Giorgos Konsolas, Panagiotis Magdanis and Spyros Giannaros, after each won gold medals at their respective 2014 World Championships.

During the annual awards ceremony, the International Olympic Committee awarded the Participant Label Pins to athletes Panagiota Tsakiri, Sophia Ralli, Apostolos Angelis, Massimiliano Valcareggi, Nikos Polychronidis, Apostolos Kefalas and Kostas Sykaras, for their participation at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games.

Vice-chairperson of the International Olympic Truce Foundation, Fani Palli-Petralia, was presented with the IOC Women and Sport Achievement Diploma for her commitment to the Olympic Movement, while Mina Papatheodorou-Valyraki received the IOC Trophy 2014 Sport and Art award.

Papatheodorou-Valyraki is a Greek painter who specialises in sport-related subject and has had her work exhibited at a number of the world's most iconic sports facilities, including the Olympic Museum in Lausanne.

She is married to former Greek Sports Minister Joe Valyraki.

The Hellenic Olympic Committee also awarded a prize to the AG Leventis Foundation, for their continuous support to athletes through Olympic Preparation Subsidies, and the Hellenic Olympic Academy for winning a place in the Guinness World Record Book after creating the largest paper dove, which was made up of 280,000 origami boats.
