The Spanish Olympic Committee (COE) has signed an agreement with JOMA, which will see the sports clothing manufacturer supply the nation’s athletes with uniforms for all competitions from the Baku 2015 European Games through to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

A number of Spanish athletes attended an event marking the launch of the partnership, which was chaired by the COE President Alejandro Blanco and JOMA President Fructuoso López.

Taekwondo player Paula Benes was joined by wrestler Eugenia Bustabad, badminton player Clara Azurmendi, judoka Francisco Garrigós, weightlifter Junior Santana and boxer Yosuba Sissoko in modelling the uniforms.

They were presented to the athletes by Carolina Pascual, an Olympic silver medal-winning gymnast, and Jose Luis Abajo "Pirri", an Olympic bronze medal-winning fencer.

Attendees were shown videos about JOMA, a Spanish company which was founded in 1965 and has a brand presence in more than 80 countries throughout the world.

President López thanked the COE and wished all the athletes who have the opportunity to expose the JOMA brand the best of luck.

The event was also attended by Presidents and representatives of Spanish sport federations, as well as COE Executive Committee members.
