The International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) has announced tickets for its upcoming Blind Football European Championships in Hereford, England, will remain at the original price of £5 ($8/€7) per session.

The governing body has also revealed fans eager to buy tickets for the event, due to begin at The Royal National College for the Blind (RNC) on August 22 and last until August 29, can purchase four tickets for the price of three.

Early-bird seats for the tournament went on sale in December of last year and tickets are still available for all 27 matches.

The event offers teams the chance to earn qualification for next year's Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, with the top two sides guaranteeing themselves a spot in Brazil.

It features 10 teams for the first time, including reigning champions Spain and hosts England, who will be looking to repay a healthy investment in the sport from their Football Association after it was announced in November  they would provide an additional £1 million ($1.6 million/€1.3 million) of funding for five-a-side blind football over the next two years.

France go up against Russia on the opening day, while Spain entertain Belgium and Turkey face Germany.

The RNC itself is a major centre of excellence for visually impaired sport in the United Kingdom and previously hosted the IBSA Blind Football World Championships in 2010.
