USA Swimming has announced it has entered into a partnership with Bonk Breaker, which will see the nutritional company become an official supplier to its national team.

Bonk Breaker will provide swimmers at events sanctioned by USA Swimming with protein bars and other nutritional supplements.

They will also supply sample nutrition bars at USA Swimming top tier competitions, including next year’s Olympic Trials, due to be held at the CenturyLink Center Omaha between June 26 and July 3. 

The company are due to announce a series of benefits which will be available to the national governing body's swimmers in the near future as part of the new agreement.

"Bonk Breaker has established an outstanding reputation in the endurance sports community and their ability to combine outstanding real food flavours with simple, natural ingredients sets them apart,” USA Swimming chief marketing officer Matt Farrell said.

"Bonk Breaker products will help us give our membership and elite athletes the assets to achieve their swimming goals.”

Under the partnership, USA Swimming's athletes at junior and national level will be provided with protein bars and other nutritional snacks during training camps and other events.

“The partnership aligns with what our athletes and members need to remain energised throughout extensive practices and competitive meets, making it a seamless fit into USA Swimming’s partnership team,” USA Swimming manager of business development Geri Woessner added.

“The grab-and-go convenience and nutritional benefits of Bonk Breaker bars are winners for our membership.”

Bonk Breaker have now been granted the rights to use USA Swimming marks and digital promotions across America and market their products via the organisation's official app Deck Pass.

They will also advertise in Splash Magazine, a bi-monthly publication which has a circulation of 275,000 and is delivered directly to USA Swimming members.
