They are being supported by Noosphere, a development partner based in Ukraine that is already active in the field of IT solutions for air sports events, especially spacemodelling.

The aim is to link the existing FAI database infrastructure with presentation and management tools such as scoreboards and results data management, which it is hoped will be used in future multi-discipline air sport events.

The development process is due to continue at a workshop involving new technology experts and Noosphere, who will look into all existing IT and technological projects and those in the development phase within the Commissions.

The 2017 World Games are due to feature three air sports disciplines - paramotors, canopy piloting and glider aerobatics.

A three-day workshop was held by the FAI earlier this year to discuss preparations for the Games in Poland.

Topics discussed included the lessons learned from the previous World Games in Cali in Colombia in 2013, the proposed selection process for the Games and the daily schedule during the event.

The workshop included a site visit to Szymanow Airfield, where the three air sport competitions are due to take place.
