Updates on preparations for the Pyeongchang 2018 and Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games are set to be presented at the International Ski Federation’s (FIS) Autumn Meeting in Oberhofen.

The meeting is due to take place tomorrow at the FIS office and will see discussions held on the upcoming Games, as well as major FIS Championships.

Progress at Pyeongchang 2018 venues was praised by FIS President Gian-Franco Kasper when he attended the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Coordination Commission inspection to the South Korean host last month.

The Swiss official had previously voiced concerns about the Yongpyong Alpine Centre being ready for a test event earlier this year, but the event was widely praised after passing without major problems.

The progress is likely to be detailed at the FIS meeting, which will take place before the next World Cup event in Pyeongchang - a snowboard big air competition which will be held at the Alpensia Ski Jumping Centre from November 23 to 26.

Similarly, FIS secretary general Sarah Lewis hailed the progress at Beijing 2022 skiing sites as "remarkable" last month.

The Zhangjiakou zone, located in the Chongli District, will play host to the majority of skiing competitions at the Games in the Chinese capital.

While the Olympic updates will be a focus of the FIS meeting, a final report will also be delivered ahead of the 2017 FIS Alpine and Nordic Ski World Championships, which are due to take place in St Moritz and Lahti respectively.

The Freestyle World Ski Championships are also due to take place in Sierra Nevada, Spain, next year.

The FIS Council will make decisions on a number of proposals from their technical committees, including calendar updates and rules, and the appointment of technical officials.

Decisions are due to be published after the meeting.
