Poland's Kamil Stoch has won the overall International Ski Federation (FIS) Ski Jumping World Cup Four Hills Tournament title today after claiming an emphatic victory at the final stage of the event at the Austrian hill of Bischofshofen.

After the first three events at the German sites of Oberstdorf and Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the Austrian venue of Innsbruck, Norway's Daniel Andre Tande had accumulated 710.3 points.

Stoch, currently third overall in the World Cup, was second in the Four Hills standings 1.7 points behind Tande on 708.6 at the start of today's final leg.

However, jumps of 134.5 metres and 138.5m gave Stoch a total of 289.2 points which secured today's victory and elevated him above Tande, who had a terrible day.

The Norwegian, who is now in second place in the overall World Cup standings, finished way back in 26th place after a woeful second jump.

Tande's first effort of 135m was the best in the first round but his second of only 117m cost him dearly as he finished in third overall.

He received a total combined score of 231.5, which ultimately cost him the title.

Roared on by his home crowd, Austria's Michael Hayboeck finished in second place today.

Efforts of 130.5m and 142m earned him a total of 283.3 while another Pole, Piotr Zyla, completed the top three.

Zyla snatched second place from Tande in the tournament standings with his accumulative score of 275.8.

Regaining top spot of the World Cup standings, 17-year-old Domen Prevc of Slovenia finished in fourth today following three poor performances so far.

Prevc secured a total of 275.2 points after jumps of 130.5m and 139.5m.

Domen's brother Peter Prevc, the reigning World Cup and Four Hills Tournament champion, finished in 23rd place on 239.5 while Austria's Stefan Kraft, the winner of the opening event of the tournament in Oberstdorf, secured 25th place with a score of 232.8.

The men's FIS Ski Jumping World Cup is set to continue on January 14 and 15 in the Polish town of Wisla.
