Nearly 50 Olympians from Liechtenstein gathered together for the first time at the national museum in the tiny European country.

The Liechtenstein Olympic Committee (LOSV) event brought together the five Olympic medallists from the landlocked nation - including Hanni Weirather-Wenzel, winner of both of the country's gold medals.

All five medallists are Alpine skiers.

Weirather-Wenzel won the women's slalom and giant slalom titles at the 1980 Winter Games in Lake Placid.

She also won downhill silver in Lake Placid, as well as slalom bronze at Innsbruck 1976 which was Liechtenstein's first-ever Olympic medal.

Her brother Andy Wenzel, who won Olympic giant slalom silver in Lake Placid and then bronze in the same discipline at Sarajevo 1984, was also in attendance.

Together, the siblings have won six of the nine Olympic medals Liechtenstein has ever won.

The other three medallists are Ursula Gregg-Konzett, Paul Frommelt and Willi Frommelt.

Gregg-Konzett won women's slalom bronze in Sarajevo, with Willi Frommelt winning men's slalom bronze in Innsbruck.

Paul Frommelt won slalom bronze, following in the footsteps of his brother, at Calgary 1988.

The oldest Olympian in attendance was skier Theodor Sele, who competed at St Moritz 1948.

All of those in attendance unanimously agreed to found a National Association of Olympics in Liechtenstein.

This will be established in partnership with the LOSV.
