Greece defeated Croatia via a penalty shoot-out to clinch their second World Men's Junior Water Polo Championships title in Belgrade.

The Greeks, champions in 2001, won 5-3 on penalties after the match at the Sports Center Milan Gale Muškatirović ended in a 7-7 draw.

There was heartbreak for Croatia who conceded a goal with just 1.3 seconds left on the clock to ensure penalties would be required.

Hosts Serbia recovered from their semi-final defeat to Greece to win the bronze medal.
