The El Salvador National Olympic Committee (ESNOC) supported a family peace run which was held for the third time in the Central American country.

The event was organised by the Violence Prevention Committee of the Municipality of Nejapa, with the aim of "generating healthy coexistence among all sectors of the population".

ESNOC assisted by handing out t-shirts, bibs and medals to participants.

The free events allowed people of all ages to run either one or two kilometres.

A children's day of traditional games was also organised, including jump rope, pilgrim, mica and hula hula.

Eduardo Palomo was re-elected as ESNOC President in February.
