Deloitte is to sponsor 10 Team USA athletes and the United States Para-ice hockey team at the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang next year.

Eight athletes are experienced Olympians and Paralympians, while two are hoping to compete at the Olympic Games for the first time.

"Team Deloitte" also includes a husband and wife, who hope to compete in bobsleigh.

"We are excited and proud of our work with the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) and to support 10 Team USA athletes, and the US national sled hockey team, on their journey to the Pyeongchang Olympic and Paralympic Games," Deloitte chief executive Cathy Engelbert said.

"What's especially meaningful about our relationship is the opportunity to work with outstanding athletes who have committed themselves to excellence in their sport, serving as leaders and sources of inspiration.

"These women and men are at the heart of our sponsorship, and we take pride in helping them awaken their full potential."
