A cooperation agreement between the International Floorball Federation (IFF) and the GameWe Sport/China Floorball Development (CFD) has been annulled, following a series of rule violations.

The IFF announced the annulment with immediate effect, stating that all activities and rights held by the CFD, led by Chen Xin, have concluded.

In a statement, the governing body claimed the annulment had occurred because the IFF's tested and certified floorball brand, Rockwind, had made a number of rule violations.

The violations were in respect to their material regulations, with the brand accused of selling non-approved material as IFF approved material.

They are also accused of using non-approved components with IFF markings in non-approved products.

"From the IFF point of view it is very unfortunate that the CFD and the Rockwind brand has not only misused their IFF approval and not followed the IFF material regulation, but not worked together with the Chinese Floorball Federation (CFF)," John Liljelund, the IFF secretary general, said.

"As it harms not only the Rockwind brand, the CFD, the CFF, but also IFF and floorball at large in China."

The IFF revealed the CFD and the organisations controlled by Chen have been advised to immediately begin cooperating with the CFF.

Negotiations between the CFD and CFF are due to take place this month, with the former claimed to have agreed to stop activities which are not in the best interest of the development of floorball in the country.

The IFF have expressed their delight, however, at having signed an agreement with the Finnish Kisakallio Sport Institute to develop floorball in China, despite the difficulties experienced by the governing body,

The institute will export rights for educational services of the Finnish Ministry to set up an education system for floorball coach instructors.

It is hoped the partnership will build a level three coach education system for Chinese physical education teachers, as well as starting school leagues in a number of cities.

"We are very proud that IFF has chosen the Finnish Kisakallio Sports Institute to be its floorball education partner in China," said Harri Hollo, Kisakallio's marketing director.

"I'm sure that our 70 years of experience and sport education know-how give us a lot of opportunities to develop Chinese students and athletes' skills and understanding about floorball.

"It is an easy access sport that has a huge potential to be one of the biggest sports in China during the next five years.

"We are also very proud that we can start the first Kisakallio IFF certified education process for coaches in China even this autumn."
