Prince has been involved in the sport for his entire life, starting as a gym owner during his 20s when he opened Prince Health Spa in 1977.

He opened other gyms in the area and has been a competitor, judge, promoter and official for fitness and bodybuilding.

His competitive career saw him won Southern States and Southeast USA titles.

Prince is fluent in both English and Spanish.

"I am proud to be part of IFBB Physique America and look forward to promoting the sport with integrity and veracity," he said. 

"I am ecstatic to be an elite member of the team."

The appointment was welcomed by IFBB Physique America President and chief executive Wayne DeMilia.

"IFBB Physique America is honoured to add Jorge Prince to our staff," he said.

"He is not only a great friend but also a man who is honest and dedicated to the sport."

IFBB Physique America is the United States arm of the IFBB.
