Martina Satkova won two individual golds and her Czech Republic team mates added five more on the second day of the International Canoe Federation Junior and Under-23 Wildwater Canoe World Championships in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzogovina.

Italy also picked up five gold medals and Slovenia three on a day when sprint and team finals were contested.

Defending senior world champion Anze Urankar of Slovenia won the men’s under-23 kayak sprint final, while Italy’s Cecilia Panato picked up the junior canoe gold.

Satkova won both the women’s under-23 kayak and canoe gold medals, team mate Tereza Kneblova the women’s junior kayak, Filip Janu the men’s junior canoe, Sveda and Smilek the men’s junior C2 and the Czechs secured the team gold medals in the women’s and men’s under-23 team events.

Italy won team gold in the men’s under-23 canoe and the men’s junior kayak team events, Panato and Mathilde Rosa won the women’s under-23 C2, and Mattia Quintarelli the men’s under-23 canoe.

Other gold medals for Slovenia came through Vid Ostrbenk in the men’s junior kayak and the men’s under-23 kayak team.

Germany won team events in the women’s under-23 and the women’s junior kayak, while France earned gold through Nicolas Sauteur and Tom Ydoux in the men’s under-23 C2 and the junior canoe team.
