Maikel van der Vleuten claimed home victory as the Dutch rider won the 15th round of the Global Champions Tour (GCT) in Valkenswaard.

Riding Dana Blue, van der Vleuten was one of six riders to perform two perfect circuits in both the main round and in the jump-off.

His jump-off time was quickest however, completing the course in 36.80 seconds to claim the maximum cash prize of €99,000 ($110,000/£90,000).

Oliver Philippaerts of Belgium was second in a time of 37.34secs, while France's Kevin Staut was third, just a further 0.1secs back.

Another Dutch rider, Harrie Smolders, and two Germans, Marcus Ehning and Christian Kukuk, also performed two perfect rounds, but none could match the speed of van der Vleuten.

GCT overall leader, riding Apart, Pieter Devos could only finish 11th after an error on his initial round.

The Tour now takes a four week break before returning in Rome on September 7.
