Stefan Klawiter of Germany has been named as a vice-president of World Taekwondo Europe (WTE).

His appointment was confirmed by WTE President Sakis Pragalos.

Klawiter is the current President of the German Taekwondo Union and served as secretary general of WTE in the 1980s.

"President Pragalos appointed Mr. Stefan Klawiter as vice-president of World Taekwondo Europe," a WTE statement said.

"Mr. Klawiter has a long history as an official within World Taekwondo Europe.

"As vice-president, Mr. Klawiter will be a valuable advisor for the Executive Council." 

Klawiter joins the other WTE vice-presidents, Fred Buitenhuis, Jesus Castellano, Igor Iuzefovici, Anatoly Terekhov, Slavi Binev, Sahin Metin, Michael Madar and Angelo Cito.
