The Zimbabwe Olympic Committee (ZOC) has announced a number of Commissions for its new strategic plan for the years from 2021 to 2025.

This comes after the ZOC's elections earlier this month, which saw a new Executive Board appointed, led by President Thabani Gonye.

Gonye made the appointments to the National Olympic Committee's Commissions after consultation with the Executive Board, in accordance with Article 25:1 of the ZOC Constitution.

ZOC treasurer Godfrey Sunguro will chair the Audit and Finance Commission.

Ringisayi Mapondera is set to chair the Legal, Membership and Standards Compliance Commission.

The other Commissions have been divided into clusters which will be overseen by the vice-presidents of the ZOC, who will be responsible for performance monitoring and evaluation.

First vice-president Fredreck Ndlovu will head the Sport, Technical, Development, Clean Athletes and Learning cluster which is made up of five Commissions.

ZOC chief executive Stephen Mudawarima will be the interim chair of the Medical, Sports Science, Protection of Clean Athletes Commission.
