FITEQ is currently visiting countries in Europe and Asia as part of efforts to promote teqball in the regions.

The governing body has praised the development of teqball in Serbia, which it has described as being one of the sport’s leading countries.

Vizer met with officials from the Olympic Committee of Serbia, the National Sports Ministry and the Novi Sad Regional Sport Ministry on his visit.

The governing body said it shared its vision for the growth of the sport at the meeting while several workshops were organised with the Serbian Teqball Federation to help accelerate the growth of the sport.

Vizer and a team of FITEQ sport instructors organised training sessions in collaboration with Ognjen Paripović, Serbian Teqball Federation President.

Paripović played for six-time Hungarian league champions Vasas SC during a professional football career, as well as spells at Azeri top-flight club FK Standard Sumgayit and Serbian SuperLiga team Proleter Novi Sad.

He moved into sports administration following his retirement.

The officials played teqball with 2018 doubles world champions Bogdan Marojević and Nikola Mitro.

Marojević is currently ranked 11th in singles and 13th in doubles.

Mitro is 12th in doubles and 91st in singles.

FITEQ also supported the Serbian Teqball Federation’s sustainability efforts by participating in a tree-planting project.
