Švancer produced a stunning second run to earn a score of 99.00, pipping Canada's Teal Harle to the men's title by a single point.

Norway's Birk Ruud rounded out the top three on 97.25.

Harle had beaten the eventual winner in the qualification round - scoring 97.5 to 94.25 - but missed out despite bettering his leading score come the final.

Ledeux's consistency saw her prevail in the women's competition.

A score of 95.25 left Ledeux clear at the top of the podium, ahead of Swiss Olympic slopestyle gold medallist Sarah Hoefflin who put up 93.25 points.

Canadian Elena Gaskell's run-one score of 91.00 helped her to claim the bronze medal.

Russia's Anastasia Tatalina will be disappointed with her showing in the final following a first-place finish in qualifying with 94.50 points.

The reigning big air world champion was only able to muster up a 67.00 in the deciding round, which saw her place in a lowly seventh position out of eight.

The action continues in Chur tomorrow with snowboarders set to battle it out.

Chur is the first of two big air World Cup legs, with the second due to be held in Steamboat in the United States on December 4.
