The French shooter Mathilde Lamolle left no chance for her opponents at the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) Shooting World Cup as she managed to secure gold in the 25m pistol tournament, which took place earlier today in the capital of Egypt.  

Despite not taking home the long-awaited gold medal, Veronika Major from Hungary did not lose her enthusiasm and shared a nice picture on her Instagram page.        

She finished second followed by Greece’s Anna Korakaki in third.

In the men’s event, shooter Patrik Jany of Slovakia has moved to the top of the world rankings by winning the 50m rifle three positions competition.


Zalan Pekler from Hungary earned the silver medal while the bronze went to Petar Gorsa from Croatia.

Singapore is leading the current ranking in the 25 metres pistol women's team at classification stage one followed by India and Japan.

Jenny Stene representing Norway is currently leading the 50m rifle three positions ranking, with Jolyn Beer from Germany in second and Austria’s Olivia Hofmann in third.

The 2022 ISSF World Cup in Cairo is set to continue tomorrow in the 50m rifle three positions event.
