Caitlin Fryers bagged one of their wins by beating England’s Savannah Stubley 3-2 in the light flyweight category.

That was followed by a dominating performance from Shannon Sweeney in the women’s 48kilograms.

France did not taste victory as Rim Bennama went down to Natalia Rok of Poland 5-0.

Turkey’s Buse Naz Cakiroglu also cruised to a 5-0 win over Maxi Klotzer of Germany.

The last two bouts in the weight category saw Italian Giordana Sorrentino and Anush Grigoryan of Armenia beat Spaniard Laura Fernandez and Finland’s Pihla Kaivo-Oja 5-0 and 4-0 respectively.

Wales and Poland triumphed in the welterweight category after Rosie Eccles and Aneta Rygielska got the better of France’s Fatia Benmessahel and England’s Hannah Robinson with 5-0 victories.
