Jovane Guissone, who conquered the title at London 2012 and was runner-up at Tokyo 2020, was extraordinary with multiple individual and team titles.

The 39-year-old retained his men's epee and foil category B titles as well as picking up his first major sabre gold medal - which is the first time he won all three golds in a single continental championships.

Guissone then succeeded in the epee team gold medal alongside compatriots Sandro Colaco, Fabio Luiz Damasceno and Lenilson De Oliveira.

Brazil also won in both the foil team finals, with Guissone being a member of the men's line-up.

The Championships also saw Monica Santos of Brazil claim her first major international title, winning the women's sabre category B.

Rayssa Veras, who earlier won an epee event, capped off the competition for Brazil after securing victory in the women's foil category A.

Brazil also won six silvers and four bronzes.

The United States were second in the medals table with three golds, six silvers and four bronzes.

Ellen Geddes prevented Santos from taking another title for the hosts in the women’s foil category B.

Meanwhile, Byron Branch regained his men's foil category A title after outmatching William Shoonover in an all-American final.

Schoonover was competing in his maiden major final, but experience was the defining factor in the duel.

Canada followed their North American opponents with three golds, one silver and five bronzes.

Ryan Rousell won the men's epee category and sabre titles for the Canadians while Ruth Sylvie Morel secured the third gold after tasting success in the women's sabre category A.

Venezuela, who were competing at an Americas Championships for the first time, finished with a silver and bronze.
