The Spanish Paralympic Committee (CPE) has enlisted Biscayan company Emen 4 Sport as its performance advisor to serve until the end of Paris 2024.

The partnership was settled following an agreement signed at the Higher Sports Council headquarters in Madrid.

"This commitment to innovation and new technologies will help Paralympic athletes achieve better results," said CPE managing director Alberto Jofre.

"With Emen 4 Sport we will make it easier for our technicians and multidisciplinary team to achieve excellence."

The Basque company will attempt to help Spain better their medal haul from Tokyo 2020 which saw athletes win nine golds, 15 silvers, and 12 bronzes.

It has already begun to evaluate the country's Paralympians, mainly in canoeing and cycling.

Emen 4 Sport will also work on other aspects of the CPE and is paying special attention to a review of the medical department.

"Paralympic sport is in the DNA of Emen 4 Sport," said the company's founder Andoni Igartua.

"Our technical director, Ander Romarate, obtained two diplomas in London 2012 and knows well what these athletes demand to offer their best version in Paris 2024.

"We have always been committed to Paralympic sport and doing it hand in hand with the CPE is a challenge that excites us a lot."

Spain's best Paralympic result came at its home Games of Barcelona 1992 where it claimed 39 gold, 32 silver, and 49 bronze medals.
