USA Bobsled and Skeleton (USABS) have re-signed a deal with Qwixskinz, a race suit company that specialises in carefully crafted aerodynamic performance wear, they announced today.

The company uses its expansive knowledge in research, design and continuously evolving fabric developments to create the best suits possible, USABS claimed.

This expansive research includes the implementation of 3D scanning for sizing and fit and wind tunnel expertise.

Qwixskinz chief executive Deanna Panting, who represented Canada in skeleton at the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation World Cup, has 25 years of designing race suits.

Panting-designed suits first appeared in the Winter Olympics at Nagano 1998 and have been a feature of every Games since.

Qwixskinz have 15 years state-of-the-art wind tunnel testing and aerodynamic development experience.

"I take very personally the trust an athlete instils in our race suits," said Panting.

"We constantly strive to perfect the fit, the perfect fabric and to make them as fast as possible."

Eric Bernotas, also a former skeleton athlete and current director of skeleton programmes for USABS, is pleased with the announcement of the continuation of the deal with Qwixskinz.

"USABS is fortunate to have Qwixskinz as an official partner," he said.

"We have confidence in their extensive experience and continuing development to explore possibilities with fabric and fit.

"We trust our athletes are using a quality and fast race suit, supporting them to be at their very best."
