Chilevisión has become the latest channel to strike a deal to show the Santiago 2023 Pan American and Parapan American Games.

The network will join TVN and Canal 13 as free-to-air broadcasters in the host nation, while deals have also been struck with subscription channels TNT Sports and Zapping.

As Chilevisión is owned by Paramount, Santiago 2023 coverage is now set for the company's free streaming platform, Pluto TV, as well as the television channel.

"It is a tremendous pride for Chilevisión to transmit this important sporting event," said Iñaki Vicente, the executive director of Chilevisión.

"We will have the mission of reaching all corners of the country with a first quality transmission, through all our platforms both open signal and digital and also on Pluto TV

"The Pan American and Parapan American Games Santiago 2023 will be the most important sporting event that our country has organised and from our channels we will be up to this important challenge."

The various television deals for Santiago 2023 mean seven hours a day of coverage will be broadcast during this year's Pan American Games, which are due to run between October 20 and November 5.

There will be five hours a day of coverage during the Parapan American Games, scheduled to take place from November 17 to 26.
