France defeated Poland 21-11 to win their second International Basketball Federation (FIBA) 3x3 Women's Series title in 2023.

Playing under home conditions in Marseille, the hosts entered the competition as top seeds.

In their first match, Myriam Djekoundade and Hortense Limouzin contributed 16 points as they despatched Azerbaijan 21-9.

France also suffered a narrow 12-13 loss against Poland in the initial stages thanks to an Anna Pawłowska masterclass.

However, they bounced back against Spain with a 20-17 victory after which the Les Bleues edged Portugal.

Poland was unstoppable through the tournament and reached the final after an entertaining 21-19 win over Austria.

Klaudia Sosnowska scored in the dying moments to help her team reach the gold medal match.

But they could not repeat the feat from earlier, as France stepped it up Marie-Eve Paget and Limouzin ensuring a second Women's Series win of the season.

Djekoundade was named the MVP in Marseille, continuing her form from the 2023 World Cup in Vienna earlier this year.

Known for her attacking play, Djekoundade also contributed with seven crucial blocks during the event.

The next stop in the Series is scheduled for July 2 and three in Netanya, Israel.
