Hosts Guernsey collected a further nine gold medals on day two of the Island Games, including an individual and team double for cyclist Hannah Brehaut.

The time trials started and finished at Styx Community Centre, beginning with a three kilometres descent, followed by a 26km loop along the west coast of Guernsey and a 3km return climb to finish.

Brehaut took women's individual gold in 44min 17.15sec, with Flo Thomas of Jersey her closest challenger in 44:50.89 and Gwenno Hughes of Ynys Môn finishing third in 45:06.59.

Brehaut also earned the women's team gold with Guernsey alongside Helena Duguid, Danielle Hanley, Karina Jackson and Jamie-Lee Wright, who collectively notched 1 hour 29min 35sec.

Gibraltar were second in 1:31:53, followed by Jersey with 1:32:46.

Kevin Chant provided a men's individual and team time-trial double for the Isle of Wight.

He won the individual race in 36:34.11, beating the 37:40.99 from Guernsey's Sam Culverwell and 37:59.64 from Jersey's John Pallot.

The Isle of Wight clocked a winning time of 1:54:47.5 in the team event, with Guernsey taking silver with 1:54:48.7 and Jersey bronze with 1:55:11.8.

Four of the first swimming golds at the Beau Sejour Leisure Centre went to the host nation.

Ronny Hallett's time of 1:01.70 helped him to lead a men's 100 metres breaststroke one-two for Guernsey with brother Charlie-Joe Hallett who notched 1:02.29.

Orla Rabey triumphed in the women's 100m butterfly in 1:01.16 and Oriana Wheeler took women's 400m individual medley gold in 4:54.94.

Rabey also contributed to Guernsey's women's 4x50m freestyle relay gold in 1:44.92.

Jersey collected four swimming golds on day two at the Island Games, with Isaac Dodds winning the men's 200m butterfly in 1:59.94 and the men's 200m individual medley in 2:02.04.

Robert Jones beat Guernsey's Thomas Hollingsworth in the men's 50m backstroke by just 0.03 with his time of 26.26 and Gemma Atherley took a women's 200m freestyle victory in 2:02.79.

Líggjas Joensen's time of 15:54.63 helped him to lead a men's 1500m freestyle Faroe Islands one-two with Heini Mohr Askham who notched 15:57.45, and Laura Kinley won the women's 50m breaststroke final for the Isle of Man in 32.13.

The Isle of Man also triumphed in the men's 4x50m medley relay in 1:42.82.

Guernsey doubled their shooting gold medal tally to six on day two.

Andrew Torode secured a second individual victory of the Games with a score of 106 in the open natural point of aim (NPA) service pistol B event at the Guernsey Pistol Club Chouet 25 metres Outdoor Range, Ollie Hudson and Nicholas Kerins won fullbore kings pairs open gold at Fort Le Marchant Rifle Range, and Tara Leighton-Dyson and Nikki Trebert earned International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) women's team 10m air pistol gold at the Aztech Centre.

Daniel Bishop in the men's and Jennie Cartwright in the women's sport trap at Mont Herault earned shooting golds for Isle of Wight.

Spencer Barr and Ben Videgrain took NPA service pistol B team gold for Jersey, Gotland's Morgan Johansson Cropper and Pontus Nordgren won the ISSF men's team 10m air pistol final, Gibraltar's Kevin Cowles triumphed in the men's Olympic trap and Marcus Påvals of Åland in the open Olympic skeet.

Jersey won both of the first tennis golds in the women's and men's team events at Guernsey Tennis Centre.

They beat Menorca 2-1 in the men's final, with Åland and Bermuda taking the bronze medals, and overcame Gotland by the same scoreline in the women's final, with Isle of Man and Guernsey completing the podium.

Saaremaa won their first three golds of the Games in athletics at Footes Lane with a 14.82 metres effort from Genro Paas in the men's shot put, a 45.46 throw in the women's javelin by Linda Kivistik and Kaur Kivistik's tight men's 10,000 metres victory in 31:10.50 ahead of Isle of Man's Corrin Leeming and Alan Corlett.

Jónas Gunnleivsson Isaksen clocked 46.02 in the men's 400m to take gold for the Faroe Islands and deny Guernsey's Cameron Chalmers who notched 46.33.

The men's 100m was won by the Faroe Islands' Eiri Jógvansson Glerfoss in 10.58, and Åland's Sara Wiss' time of 11.86 in the women's 100m edged out Guernsey's Abi Galpin by 0.03.

Ffion Roberts was the day's other athletics gold medallist for Ynys Môn with a time of 55.20 to win the women's 400m.

Guernsey lead the medals table with 16 golds after day two, followed by Jersey with 10 and the Faroe Islands with seven.

The Island Games is due to run until Friday (July 14).
