The reigning champions will move on with confidence to the Women's Series final at Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia from September 16 to 17.

Canada wanted to make a statement at home in the final stop before Ulaanbaatar, and this they did thanks to their core four of the Plouffe sisters, Paige Crozon and Kacie Bosch.

After beating New Zealand and Poland, they earned a 15-10 win in their group stage against a USA U24 team to earn a semi-final against the United States, which they won 13-9.

The USA U24 team, which featured the 2023 World Cup-winning duo of Cameron Brink and Hailey Van Lith, had arrived seeking revenge for their defeat by Canada at the Quebec stop.

After their first defeat by the hosts, they reached the final by defeating Romania in the play-in and then overcoming Germany in the semi-final.

The Plouffe sisters excelled once again in a final where USA U24 paid the price for an increasing number of fouls - a measure of the pressure they were under.

The Montreal stop had been preceded by one in Pont du Gard, France, where The Netherlands achieved their first stop win in the Series with a 21-16 win in the final against Azeri side Neftchi.

The Dutch side - with a core of Loyce Bettonvil, Janis Boonstra, Kiki Fleuren and Noortje Driessen - were beaten by Neftchi in their opening match, but from there they never looked back as they beat Egypt, Spain, and France U24.
