The women's volleyball teams of Dominican Republic, Serbia, Turkey, Brazil, the United States and Poland have secured their berth at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

All six nations finished top two in their respective groups at the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) Road to Paris Olympic Volleyball Qualifying Tournament held across three cities.

Pool A Games were held in Ningbo, China, with Dominican Republic and Serbia finishing first and second, respectively.

Other teams in Pool A were Canada, China, The Netherlands, Ukraine, Czech Republic and Mexico.

Dominican Republic went through after a horrible start that saw them lose to the Czech Republic 25-21, 21-25, 25-21, 24-26, 15-12.

However, they won all their remaining games, including another five-set thriller against Canada.

After beating Canada 25-17, 22-25, 23-25, 25-28, 15-12, they despatched Ukraine and Mexico in straight sets before getting the better of Serbia and China 3-1.

Their last match was eventful as well, but the Caribbean nation pipped the Dutch 25-20, 20-25, 25-19, 23-25, 15-12.

Serbia finished second, wining five out their seven games.

Turkey was sensational in Pool B, winning all their seven games in Tokyo, including two straight set triumphs over Puerto Rico and Bulgaria.

They were a cut above the rest as the nation dropped only three sets throughout.

Turkey beat Peru and Argentina 3-1 before crushing Brazil 3-0.

Hosts Japan were the next team to challenge Turkey, but they went down 3-1 before the Pool B winners crushed Belgium 25-14, 25-20, 25-21.

The race for the second spot went down to the wire with hosts Japan and Brazil meeting in the final match to decide the other spot.

However, the Latin Americans won the game 21-25, 25-22, 25-27, 25-15, 10-15.

Hosts Poland finished second to the United States in Pool C in Łódź.

Despite starting with easy wins over Sloevenia, South Korea and Colombia, the Poles struggled against Thailand and Germany.

Back-to-back five setters saw the hosts lose to Thailand 25-18, 7-25, 25-22, 23-25, 15-12 before coming out on top against Germany 20-25, 27-25, 25-21, 22-25, 15-12.

However, they did beat a superior American team 27-25, 16-25, 25-23, 25-16.

This led to a decider with Italy in their final game.

Poland lost the first set against the Italians 15-25 before coming back to win 26-24, 25-23, 25-21 in the next three sets to qualify.
