The first Kazakhstan title came courtesy of Aigerim Karamanova as she prevailed in the women's under-65-kilograms final.

Karamanova saw off Slovakian Rebeka Martinkovičová in the final after beating Hungary's Brigitta Kovarine Ivanfi and Sweden's Ingrid Victoria Karlsson in previous rounds.

Antonina Lissyanskaya was unable to add to the tally as she suffered defeat to Barbora Bajčiová of Slovakia in the women's over-80kg.

However, she was avenged by Kazakh compatriot Yerdaulet Sarybay in the men's under-70kg decider.

The bout was decided in an extra round that saw Sarybay get the better of Armenia's Vachagan Hovhannisyan.

Further glory was in store just minutes later for Kazakhstan when Nurdaulet Aidarkhan beat Bulgarian Bozhidar Simeonov in the men's under-80kg final.

The final Kazakhstan golds came from Talgat Aktayev and Medet Kuttymuratov in the men's under-100kg and men's over-100kg tournaments, respectively.

Both athletes denied Ukrainian opposition as Aktayev dispatched Vadym Stetsiuk before Kuttymuratov saw off the challenge from Oleg Mykhailenko.

The arm wrestling displays saw Kazakhstan catapult themselves up the standings as they now sit second on 10 gold, 11 silver, and 20 bronze medals.

Only Ukraine lead them, with 18 golds in top spot, while Saudi Arabia's nine victories sees the hosts occupy third.

Competition is set to continue tomorrow with more arm wrestling action, as well as muaythai, savate, and taekwondo.
