At a recent meeting of the ROC, the head of the Russian delegation to the Games, Pavel Kolobkov, had said that most of the details had been put together.

"All the terms have been agreed with Aeroflot, the general carrier of Team Russia during London 2012," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying during the meeting.

"One hundred additional spaces have been booked for officials of team Russia along with additional spaces for motor transport.

"We have assumed necessary measures for organisation of communication between sportsmen and the officials."

Aeroflot was the airline of the Russian team at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, providing its services to their 2,000 athletes, members and officials.
