icf isis_13-03-12March 13 - The International Canoe Federation (ICF) has agreed a three year partnership with MSL Software SL to help develop the ICF's Integrated Sport Information System (ISIS).

The ICF launched ISIS last week to provide an external network accessible by its stakeholders, as well as a platform for database management.

National federations and event organisers will be able to use the ISIS network for tools such as calendars, accreditations, entries and file sharing.

The ISIS system was launched in three phases – the first, which was announced last week, allows national federations to access the calendar, which has ICF events, and create profiles.

The second phase, which will be launched on Monday (March 18), gives federations the chance to add national competitions to the calendar, as well as giving organising committees access to the system.

The final phase, from April 30, will open the system to media, publish historical information and give organising committees the chance to use the accreditation tools to organise their events.

The ICF will monitor key areas of event organisation through ISIS, and they are encouraging federations to do the same.

ICF secretary general Simon Toulson said: "The partnership with MSL, industry leaders in providing integrated solutions for organising sport events and operations, was signed following an in-depth analysis of the needs of our event organisers and the needs of the ICF and its national federations.

MSL Group chief executive Eulogio Ruiz added: "Our agreement with Atos (the Worldwide IT Partner for the Olympic Games) has positioned us as the global IT leaders in providing integrated solutions to major events.

"This signifies a great difference for sports event management and sports spectators worldwide."
