The drug Trimetazidine, also known as TMZ, has been in recent news because of positive 2021 tests from China’s swimming team and Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva’s four year ban in January. The drug is at the heart of Nikola Bartunkova’s provisional sanction by the Tennis Anti-Doping Programme (TADP).

The Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) said Tuesday that Olympic refugee team runner Anjelina Nadai Lohalith has been provisionally suspended after testing positive for Trimetazidine, Agence France-Presse reports. The banned substance, usually used to prevent and treat the symptoms of angina, is the same that put 23 Chinese swimmers in the spotlight recently.
