After last week's European Taekwondo Qualifiers, it is now the turn of the Asian Qualifiers to determine two more taekwondo athletes in each weight class who will secure a place at Paris 2024. The Asian Qualifiers will begin on 16 March in Tai'an, China.

The Jiu-Jitsu President's Cup, one of the most important jiu-jitsu events in the UAE, will be held at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on 15-16 March, the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation has announced. The championship, an annual event held during the holy month of Ramadan, will bring together the top clubs and academies from across the UAE. 

The President's Cup of the Pan American Taekwondo Union will begin on 14 March in Costa Rica. In a competition that will have the participation of more than 1,100 athletes from all over the American continent, the G-2 is set to be a transcendental event.

The landmark African Games' Mixed Martial Arts tournament has already concluded in Ghana with the finals and medal ceremonies on the continent's Olympic platform.

Mixed Martial Arts competition entered its second day in Ghana on 11 March as the sport is making its debut at the African Games. Talented athletes from Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Egypt, Ghana, Libya, Nigeria, Mauritius and Togo competed in the semi-finals at the Bukom Stadium in Accra.

On March 7, master Leonardo Oros Duek, President of the All Europe Taekwon-Do Federation (AETF) made a historic visit to Kosovo. The primary purpose of this trip was to develop Taekwon-Do in the region. He was accompanied by Efraim Barak, General Counsel of the International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF).

Over the last three days, the eyes of the judo world were focused on the capital of Upper Austria, Linz, which hosted the second edition of the Upper Austria Grand Prix. If the 2023 edition was already a success, this year the bar was raised even higher.

Croatia has won its third Olympic quota in taekwondo. On the final day of the European Qualification Tournament, 2023 World Champion in men’s 74 kg category  Marco Golubic defeated Sweden's Ali Alian to reach the final and secure his place at Paris 2024 in the men's -68 kg category. Golubic joins Lena Stojkovic (women's -49k g) and Ivan Sapina (men's +80 kg) who qualified through the rankings.

The Uzbekistan Sambo Championship was held in Tashkent on 27-29 February, with more than 400 athletes from different regions taking part in the tournament, which was held at the Zhar Sports Complex. Medals were awarded in the men's and women's Sport SAMBO and men's Combat SAMBO competitions.

Tokyo 2020 champion Maksim Khramtsov (AIN), runner-up Tatiana Minina (Individual Neutral Athlete), bronze medallist Avishag Semberg (Israel) and Rio 2016 bronze medallist Kimia Alizadeh (Refugee Team) didn't qualify for Paris 2024 directly through the rankings. 

Eleven African teams have arrived and registered in Accra, Ghana to represent their countries competing in mixed martial arts (MMA) at the African Games. The sport will be included in the programme for the first time from Sunday 10 to Monday 12 March.

The French Olympic Committee said in February that it would provide hotel rooms for breastfeeding French athletes during the Paris Olympics because children will be banned from the athletes' village, reports AFP.

The European Para-Taekwondo Qualification Tournament for the Paris 2024 Paralympics took place on 8th February in Sofia, Bulgaria. Winners in 10 weight categories qualified for Paris 2024.

The Dutch Open Sambo Championship was held on 2 March in the city of Dalfsen. More than 275 athletes from different countries took part in the competition. Medals were awarded in competitions for both very young participants, who are just starting out in SAMBO, and adult sambists.
