Eleven Sports has won the right to broadcast the World Baseball Classic to fans in Chinese Taipei, it has been announced before the fourth edition of the tournament next year.

The competition features the 16 best international teams and is currently the most watched baseball event in Chinese Taipei.

Having earned exclusive media rights, Eleven Sports will show up to 45 live matches from the tournament across their platforms.

The event is scheduled to take place from March 6 to 22, with Japan, Mexico, South Korea and the United States all hosting matches.

Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles will host the finals from March 20 to 22.

"Acquiring the rights to the World Baseball Classic is a major achievement, and we are excited to bring one of the most important sports properties in Chinese Taipei to the fans," said Danny Menken, group managing director at Eleven Sports.

"With the world’s best teams and players on show the tournament promises to be a fantastic one, and we are sure fans in Chinese Taipei will love following their country’s progress with our fully localised coverage."

Chinese Taipei are set to face South Korea, The Netherlands and Israel in Pool A of competition, which will take place at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Korean capital Seoul.

Australia, China, Cuba and Japan will meet in Group B at the Tokyo Dome, while Pool C sees defending champions Dominican Republic face Canada, Colombia and the United States at Marlins Park in Miami.

Italy, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Venezuela will contest Group D at the Estadio Charros de Jalisco in Guadalajara. 

Twelve of the participating teams qualified based on their performances at the 2013 tournament, with Australia, Mexico, Colombia and Israel coming through qualifying to earn their spots.
