Action has been cancelled on day six of the International Surfing Association (ISA) World Surfing Games in Biarritz.

The ISA wrote on its Twitter page: "Competition is off for today at the #ISAWSG. 8am local time start tomorrow."

Round two of the men's competition had been due to continue today in the French seaside town, but conditions would not allow it.

Tahiti's Ariihoe Tefaafana was the standout performer yesterday at La Grande Plage.

Tefaafana reached the third round after winning heat 72 with ease.

He posted a score of 16.13 points to finish in first place, while compatriot Luciani Heremoana finished second on 10.54.
