Great Britain’s girls’ team won their two games today to remain undefeated at the 2019 International Blind Sports Federation Goalball Youth World Championships in Penrith.

Following yesterday’s 3-1 victory over hosts and defending champions Australia, Britain beat South Korea 5-3 and Germany 6-1 at Penrith Valley Regional Sports Centre.

Australia, meanwhile, bounced back from their defeats to Britain and Brazil to overcome Thailand 7-1.

All the home nation’s goals came in the first-half with Amy Ridley scoring a hat-trick, Molly Smith finding the net twice, and Genevieve Weston and Alana Tiller chipping in with one apiece.

Thailand were also beaten by Brazil, who made it two wins out of two and are level on six points with South Korea.
