The United World Wrestling (UWW) Beach Wrestling World Series Final is set to begin in Croatia's capital Zagreb tomorrow.

The two-day event at Sport Recreation Centar Jarun will mark the end of the inaugural UWW Beach Wrestling World Series tour.

It follows stops in Portuguese city Chaves in March, Rio de Janeiro in May and Odessa in Ukraine last month.

Men will compete in the 70 kilograms, 80kg, 90kg and over-90kg categories, while women will do so in the 50kg, 60kg, 70kg and over-70kg divisions.

Group rounds will take place tomorrow and continue through to Sunday (September 8).

The elimination rounds and finals are scheduled for Sunday afternoon, prior to a closing celebration.

The UWW confirmed plans for the Beach Wrestling World Series in February of this year.

It features cash prizes totalling CHF15,000 (£12,300/$15,100/€13,700) per event.
