Registration for the tournament is now closed. 1,133 athletes from 28 federations have registered for the tournament. One of the athletes, Arsenii Ermakov from Russia, is registered as an individual neutral.

The number of registered athletes is much higher than for the European Championships in 2023. Last year at the European Championships in Verquin, France, there were 870 athletes from 27 federations.

As predicted, Romania has the largest number of registered athletes. 159 athletes will represent the Romanian Martial Arts Federation. The Hellenic Ju Jitsu Federation (Greece) will bring 130 athletes to Pitesti. France will be represented with 117 athletes.

These three countries and Israel are the favourites to top the medals table. In 2023 Greece won the team competition with 26 gold, 22 silver and 34 bronze medals. Romania came second with 13-12-15. France came third with 12-17-31.
