In the first EC meeting chaired by Leonz Eder following his re-election, key highlights included updates on the Healthy Campus Programme, progress reports on the 2025 FISU World Summer and Winter Games and the nomination of new committees.

Inspired by the world of games and animation, "TO Tag" made its debut on Saturday as the mascot of the FISU World University Games Winter Torino 2025.

The historic Polytechnic University of Turin in Piedmont, Italy, will host the 2025 Winter University Games and now has the torch that will illuminate the event from 13 to 23 January 2025. Named "La Guarini" in honour of the 17th century Italian priest and architect.

It will be a special New Year's Eve with the theme "Torino 2025", on the occasion of the first anniversary of the World University Games Winter, which will take place from 13 to 23 January 2025 in Torino, Torre Pellice, Pinerolo, Bardonecchia and Pragelato.

From February 2024, FISU will have one more sport in its program, Ski Mountaineering. This decision was made this week with the formal approval of the organization after receiving the green light in July, following a meeting in Chengdu, China.

The first call for proposals for the BRAINSTORM project launched by the Organising Committee of the World University Winter Games, to be held in Turin from 13 to 23 January 2025, has been already closed. This will be the seventh time that the event will be held in Italy, following Sestriere 1966, Livigno 1975, Belluno 1985, Tarvisio 2003, Torino 2007 and Trentino 2013.

The next edition of the World University Winter Games, scheduled in 426 days in the city and region where the event was born under the name Universiade, will be the first event open to all without barriers of any kind.
