Female Coaching Network (FCN) and wearable tracker manufacturer WHOOP are collaborating to develop a programme to support coaches, with the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in mind.

Through the Preparation for Paris programme, FCN - a platform that brings together female coaches and leaders around the world - and WHOOP will support 50 female coaches around the world.

Olympic and Paralympic coaches will be given a WHOOP strap and membership to monitor their body's performance data.

"This is such an exciting opportunity for coaches to understand how these environmental pressures and stresses in the lead up to Paris affect their own performances," Vicky Huyton, founder of the FCN, said.

"For WHOOP to provide such phenomenal support, not only through the use of the WHOOP strap, but also by allowing us to engage with their industry leading experts is simply a one of a kind opportunity that not many coaches would have access to.

"I am looking forward to following the journeys of the coaches involved."

The programme will also feature webinars on circadian health, stress and rest management, nutrition and hydration and strain and training.

It will be facilitated by WHOOP vice-president of performance and former National Collegiate Athletic Association Division 1 head hockey coach Kristen Holmes along with other industry leading experts.
